It is an honour to be invited to judge the Yorkshire accountancy Awards again.
I have experience from audit, practice, industry and teaching. As well as logistics, manufacturing and engineering knowledge. My career has now spanned more than 40 years.
I started what I deemed to be a lifestyle practise in 2011, in 2013 it became a partnership. I’m now in a state of flux trying to decide how best to improve our practice. Bombarded with compliance, how best to use AI, and perhaps more importantly how to continually help our clients to improve.
Since 2019 I have been the branch ambassador for the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) for Yorkshire. In 2022 I became the Ambassador for the North of England. Organising branch events for my fellow members and other professional colleagues, in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle. These events are open to anyone. Through this role I sit on the national council of the IFA and am often called upon to aid with consultations both written and in person. As well as hosting some of the IFA online CPD course.
I am a Charity Trustees for two charities, as well as an involvement in the Church I attend. I also have in interest in history and wargaming in what is left of my spare time.
