Welcome to the virtual programme for the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the awards ceremony, from who’s hosting and what’s on the menu, to the all-important shortlist.

Kicking off the programme below is an introduction from Bev Flanagan, council member, director and trustee of the AAT, who chaired the independent judging panel.

Menu for the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2025. The menu is as follows: Standard starter, Smoked chicken and ham hock terrine, piccalilli, parsnip crisps, confit tomato. Vegetarian starter: Provençal vegetable terrine, aged balsamic dressing, black olive crumb, basil crisp. Standard main: Free range chicken, lyonnaise potato, caramelised garlic, carrot fondant, porcini cream. Vegetarian main: Honey-roasted aubergine, sweet potato cake, romesco sauce, toasted hazelnut. Dessert: Hazelnut and brown butter tart, poached pear, sweet mascarpone.

Former Royal Marine Commando, former school teacher, athlete and TV presenter JJ Chalmers will guide us through the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards ceremony!

After receiving life-changing injuries in a bomb blast in Afghanistan in 2011, JJ went on to win numerous medals in cycling, including representing Britain at the 2014 Invictus Games. JJ is now known up and down the country for his work covering the Paralympic Games with Channel 4 over the past decade.

Once the awards have been given out, party duo Lux Collective will play us a vibrant DJ/percussionist and saxophone set to round out the evening. Get ready for some classic grooves and an unforgettable party – bring your dancing shoes!
