She joined Kelda in 2010 from EY, where she started her career straight from Leeds University where she studied a BSc in Geography.
During her time at EY she became partner and led the audit practice for the North region and the UK wide water utility team.
After 23 years at EY she wanted a change and decided to join a long standing client, Yorkshire Water.
At her time there she has developed her professional interest in sustainability and its impact on business performance. She chairs the CFO Network of Accounting for Sustainability (one of HRH’s The Prince of Wales’ charities) and following Yorkshire Water’s successful pilot of the Natural Capital Protocol, sits on the board of the Natural Capital Coalition.
Firmly supportive of the Yorkshire region, she is also a non-executive director of KCom plc, where she chairs the Audit Committee and is a lay member of the Council of the University of Leeds, where she is also a member of the Audit and Strategy and Investment Committees.
She is an FCA.
