Gerald Jennings is a Fellow of the RICS and has worked in the property sector for over 30 years and was a Portfolio Director with Land Securities’ heading up company’s Northern retail portfolio in the Leeds office. Gerald was instrumental in the development of Trinity Leeds from site acquisition in 2005 to its opening in Spring 2013 and in obtaining planning consent for the extension of the White Rose shopping Centre.
Gerald formed his own property company and consultancy in April 2015 and is acting for a developer who is, following a successful planning application, progressing with a proposed £50m investment in Leeds.
Gerald became president of Leeds Chamber of Commerce in April 2015. Following two and a half years in that position he became Chairman of the West & North Yorkshire Chamber in 2017, having joined the board in 2014. He is at the forefront in leading the business case for Devolution and transport investment.
Gerald was instrumental in setting up the Leeds Business Improvement District and is actively involved in several social enterprises and charities. He has been a longstanding advocate for community investment believing that business should play its role in bridging the economic divide that exists in our towns and cities.
He is a Non-Executive on the Board of Henry Boot PLC and also has a number of other Non-Executive roles;
Most recently Gerald has taken on the role of Chairman of Social Communications Leeds, a business already established in Manchester and London, providing PR, Public Affairs and Marketing expertise to the property sector.
